some random screen saver kicked in, and X crashed.

This is probably another duplicate of Bug #211314.

Can you try the xserver package that has been provided in bug #211314?

Though I'm closing this bug as duplicate of bug #211314, please post you result to this one. If it turns out that this is *not* a duplicate, we'll separate it again.
