I just tried to compile package parted-1.8.2-2
with the new GNU compiler version 4.3 snapshot 20070119

The compiler said

traverse.c:358: warning: array subscript is above array bounds

The source code is

        if (src[8] != ' ' && src[8] != 0) {

I agree with the compiler. Names have only 8 chars, numbered 0..7 inclusive.
Suggest code rework.
