Description Andreas Jaeger 2007-02-28 09:32:03 UTC
Problem is that yast2-bootloader is not available.
Comment 1 Andreas Jaeger 2007-02-28 09:32:27 UTC
I'll fix the pattern to require yast2-bootloader.
Comment 2 Lukas Ocilka 2007-02-28 09:55:58 UTC
Can I have the y2log, please?

The y2log from the chroot!
Comment 4 Lukas Ocilka 2007-02-28 10:28:53 UTC
There are two bugs:
- missing yast2-mouse (might be moved before the SCR-switch)
- missing '.sysconfig.bootloader.LOADER_TYPE'
  and missing Bootloader_API (yast2-bootloader)
Comment 5 Lukas Ocilka 2007-02-28 10:31:25 UTC
Olaf, could you, please, propose the best solution for yast2-bootloader?
It might be, but needn't be installing yast2-bootloader by default.
Comment 6 Lukas Ocilka 2007-03-01 12:41:21 UTC
Andreas, the base pattern in Alpha1plus doesn't contain the yast2-bootloader package... Or maybe is something else wrong with the bootloader in minimal installation.
Comment 7 Andreas Jaeger 2007-03-01 13:02:43 UTC
Lukas, see bug 238679. I removed it since we all agreed that we don't need it.

We don't need the graphical frontend - but we need other stuff.

So, my suggestion from comment #2 still stands.
Comment 8 Lukas Ocilka 2007-03-02 12:28:32 UTC
I was unable to finish the first stage installation without having yast2-bootloader installed :(

Olaf, is there some other way? If there isn't any, I'll just add yast2-bootloader back into required packages again.
Comment 9 Stefan Fent 2007-03-02 13:32:05 UTC
No, we need it.
Comment 10 Lukas Ocilka 2007-03-02 14:22:55 UTC
OK, I have added yast2-bootloader again.
Fixed in yast2-installation-2.15.10
