Bugzilla – Bug 274047
Evolution: "Actions -> Publish Calendar Information" does nothing
Last modified: 2007-09-09 21:15:45 UTC
If one presses in the Calendar-Component "Actions -> Publish Calendar Information" nothing happens.
From your calendar preferences, you should have added one location atleast to publish your calendar information. Have you ?
Just tried to reproduce this, but the dialog is not even there any longer. The free/busy tab is gone for me is gone. You can the tab in the following screenshot: http://webhost.justrawspeed.com/gekker/cal-prefs-dialog.png. Novell Documentation is talking about it at http://www.novell.com/documentation/evolution24/index.html?page=/documentation/evolution24/evolution24/data/usage-calendar-apts.html#publishing-freebusy . # rpm -q evolution evolution-2.11.6.1-15
It is implemented as a plugin. Enable the publish-calendar plugin from Edit->Plugins . configure your publish settings and try publishing again. It shuold work. If it doesn't reopen.
As written in bug #274048 i have the plugin enabled and have: # rpm -qf /usr/lib/evolution/2.12/plugins/liborg-gnome-publish-calendar.so evolution-2.11.91-2 what else can I do to enable it? I do not use Evolution therefore I have no idea when since May this problem appeared. :-(
Created attachment 162454 [details] startup ok looking at the console the problem seems obvious. /usr/share/evolution/2.12/glade/publish-calendar.glade is missing.
http://build.opensuse.org/package/edit_file?file=publish-calendar-glade-fix.patch&package=evolution&project=openSUSE%3AFactory That patch is the one causing the issue. Will have to search why it is added.
Created attachment 162688 [details] Fixes the bug. The above mentioned patch can be removed since the publish-calendar.glade does not get installed with that. The publish-calendar.glade file does not seem to install in HEAD also.
patch looks good to commit.
Fix has been committed to svn HEAD. It will be available as part of evolution-2.12.
