Bugzilla – Bug 288547
Wa localization of KDE
Last modified: 2007-09-05 17:10:33 UTC
Yhere is no kde3-i18n-wa and koffice-i18n-wa packages included in the distro. It's a problem since localisation is done in wa_BE for OpenSuse. Only gnome has got the GUI translations.
Don't know if it should be wa_BE or wa...
There exist no upstream releases of kde3-i18n-wa and koffice-i18n-wa (likely due to no or too few translations).
the point of this bug report is exactly this package not being present.
it's just filed as wrong severity
The point is that the translation (kdebase from 36 to 51% since May on kde3, kde4 starting) is on its way and it's hard to check yast and especially lcn translations and integration if the GUI is in another language.
Added wa translation tarball to kde3-i18n.
On BETA1, there is no kde3-i18n-wa-3.5.7-5.noarch.rpm on the language CD-add-on, nor on the DVD, despite there is on http://ftp.opensuse.org/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/suse/noarch/ When installing, everything is in english in KDE3, except yast.
kde-maintainers don't make the media layout.
There is no koffice-i18n-xxxx-wa.rpm package as well.
Is there some way to regenerate the language addon list? I guess this should better be done in general as we moved all kind of supporting packages from the dvd5
Just checked in beta2 : no kde-i18n-xxxx-wa.rpm eitheir in CD nor on internet repository
It's on the Language Addon, which is only to be used with the DVD. The 1CD is English-only -- languages are available via the internet repos.
