Bugzilla – Bug 296381
partitioning dialog ask multiple times for install util-linux-crypto
Last modified: 2007-08-01 14:22:58 UTC
I tried to install a Alpha 7 (KDE) from SLP. While partition the harddisk I tried to add two crypto partitions. For the first a dialog poped up to install util-linux-crypto package (I assume that worked, because there was no error message and I could finish the crypto partition), but I also got the same dialog again for the second partition. This shouldn't be needed since the package was already installed with the first dialog.
Created attachment 154760 [details] log from install until 2 dialog poped up
The package don't exist anymore as it look. Couldn't find a util-linux-crypto package in /dist/next-i386!
cryptsetup.spec Obsoletes: util-linux-crypto <= 2.12r
cryptsetup is not CD, I can add it - for beta
but take a look at bug #296409, the package is complete broken and unusable. And the Yast part need to get fixed
*** Bug 296400 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I changed yast2-storage to request cryptsetup instead of util-linux-crypto. Additionally the popups to request installation of packages should not even happen in installation environment, I fixed that also.
okay ... but is there a special reason for the NEEDINFO?
No I just failed to the this to fixed so far.
Okay, but insserv/activate yast2-storage also the boot.crypto script if someone create a crypto partition?
Yes, but of course this fails if there is no boot.crypto. from y2log of bug# 296400 y2log-1:2007-08-01 13:22:17 <1> 10.10.100.205(3991) [YCP] Storage.ycp:5666 FinishInstall cmd cd / && /sbin/insserv /etc/init.d/boot.crypto y2log-1:2007-08-01 13:22:17 <1> 10.10.100.205(3991) [YCP] Storage.ycp:5668 FinishInstall bo $["exit":1, "stderr":"insserv: /etc/init.d/boot.crypto: No such file or directory\n", "stdout":""] y2log-1:2007-08-01 13:22:17 <1> 10.10.100.205(3991) [YCP] Storage.ycp:5670 FinishInstall done
