Description Tanja Roth 2007-08-02 14:40:41 UTC
With Alpha7, the openSUSE manuals are not installed by default.

Please change the following patterns:

GNOME Desktop Environment:
opensuse-gnomeuser_$LANG and
opensuse_manual_$LANG should be activated by default

KDE Desktop Environment:
opensuse_manual_$LANG should be activated by default

(opensuse_manual_$LANG currently contains all openSUSE manuals except GNOME User Guide)

Note that they are installed by default with beta1, but they do not fit on the x86_64 CD - as they are _HUGE_
Comment 2 Stephan Kulow 2007-08-15 06:56:59 UTC
as I can't have $LANG in patterns, I removed every manual in the patterns complely and trigger the right language manuals by triggers in the manuals itself. So whoever packages them (Karl?) needs to keep these Provides in there

Comment 4 Tanja Roth 2007-09-04 16:09:24 UTC
With Beta 2, the manuals are still not installed by default - as this does not seem to be a matter of patterns: Karl, could you please check this again?
Comment 5 Stephan Kulow 2007-09-05 07:47:01 UTC
Can you please be a bit more specific? What medium doesn't install what manual?
Comment 6 Tanja Roth 2007-09-05 08:22:01 UTC
yes, I just checked the YaST log files again and it turns out to be false alarm: it was altogether my fault -- so sorry for the noise and just forget about it, I'm closing the bug now

Comment 7 Stephan Kulow 2007-09-05 08:29:16 UTC
you know how to read YaST log files? You have to show me one day - it's all foobar to me ;)
