Description Holger Sickenberg 2007-08-09 12:34:07 UTC
After I updated HAL (and did a reboot), I can't access the CD/DVD any more.
Comment 1 Holger Sickenberg 2007-08-09 12:45:04 UTC
I tested it with Gnome/Nautilus of Beta 1
Comment 2 Danny Al-Gaaf 2007-08-09 18:06:30 UTC
There was a problem with not activated (in the init process) and running ConsoleKit which caused problems.

But there is also a problem with Nautilus. If you remove/readd the DVD nautilus eat you CPU. Holger can tell more, I reassign the bug to the GNOME ppl.
Comment 3 JP Rosevear 2007-08-13 14:58:00 UTC
Federico, I can duplicate this error after burning a CD. Finding a unique name for a mount seems to loop endlessly.
Comment 4 JP Rosevear 2007-08-13 19:17:27 UTC
Probably a patch HPJ has for SLED 10 already.
Comment 5 Federico Mena Quintero 2007-08-16 14:55:01 UTC
I'll put in the small change from bug #276193 - there was a case where we accessed freed memory when re-populating list of drives.

- Updated nautilus-drives-and-volumes-on-desktop.diff to fix
  https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=298802 - after burning a
CD and re-mounting the CD, Nautilus uses 100% CPU. This simply
  includes the last patch from
  https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=276193#c42
