Bugzilla – Bug 298802
Can access CD/DVD after HAL update
Last modified: 2007-08-16 18:32:03 UTC
After I updated HAL (and did a reboot), I can't access the CD/DVD any more.
I tested it with Gnome/Nautilus of Beta 1
There was a problem with not activated (in the init process) and running ConsoleKit which caused problems. But there is also a problem with Nautilus. If you remove/readd the DVD nautilus eat you CPU. Holger can tell more, I reassign the bug to the GNOME ppl.
Federico, I can duplicate this error after burning a CD. Finding a unique name for a mount seems to loop endlessly.
Probably a patch HPJ has for SLED 10 already.
I'll put in the small change from bug #276193 - there was a case where we accessed freed memory when re-populating list of drives.

This simply includes the last patch from https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=276193#c42
