The YaST GTK Online Update module selects optional updates by default while the Qt version does that only for security and recommended updates.

Gary, the reporter did identify the bug has only affecting Gnome, but we do want people filling these sort of bugs under YaST2. A lot of cases aren't this clear, and those guys make a good job at filtering those out and asking for logs.
