Description Miquel A. Noguera 2007-09-10 10:37:17 UTC
While my laptop's wifi card (Intel PRO 3945ABG) is detected and I'm asked to use it for installation, there is unusable because installer doesn't care about available networks / passwords to acces.

Only wired connections are really usables.

Comment 5 Matej Horvath 2007-09-24 07:56:15 UTC
This looks to be a duplicate of Bug 293398. Could you please try the rpm from comment #7?
Comment 6 Miquel A. Noguera 2007-09-24 15:25:33 UTC
No, this not the same problem whit Bug 293398 (instead, bug 293609 seems to me more similar)

My complain is about the 1st stage installation (of course testing package yast2-network-2.15.49-2 is not applicable in this scenario).

The problem is installer NEVER asks to select an available network nor a password to access it, and "back" buton is greyed, so the only way to exit is powering off machine :-(

And what is worse: this is the default selection !!!

Comment 7 Miquel A. Noguera 2007-09-24 15:26:51 UTC
Removing "needinfo"
Comment 8 Miquel A. Noguera 2007-09-24 15:29:05 UTC
May be, bug 327600 is related too.
Comment 9 Matej Horvath 2007-09-25 14:42:52 UTC
Sorry for the misunderstood.

But according to comment #1 of Bug 293609 wireless networks are not supported, therefore I have to close it as a duplicate of Bug 293609.
