Bugzilla – Bug 328281
F-Spot Import error
Last modified: 2007-12-12 19:38:09 UTC
When importing files, F-Spot brings up an error dialog box stating - "Import Error Error importing {/home/abc/Photo/test file.jpg} Object reference not set to an instance of an object
can you attach the file in question?
Created attachment 174937 [details] problem JPEG I can reproduce the problem with several photos I have. Here's one example. I can attach more if you need.
this problem also exists in GM code
The problem only turns up on files that are already tagged with f-spot (probably with PREFERENCES > SAVE META-DATA TO FILE set to on). Files do get imported after clicking OK but the error turns up on every file. Try to import 20K of pictures that way ;) rgrds, martijn
I think this is: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=463789 Please test the f-spot packages at: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/jproseve/openSUSE_10.3/ They contain a fix from the upstream bug.
the update is telling me that it requires the sqlite2 package.
(In reply to comment #6 from Nabeel K Nizar) > the update is telling me that it requires the sqlite2 package. Yes, thats correct, it solves another bug.
I tested the updated packages and so far all the issues surrounding the import, seem to have been resolved.
