Description Mario Goppold 2007-09-26 15:54:46 UTC
Hi,

if I select the "Laptop battery" entry in the gnome-power-manager menu the "Device information" pop up as an notify but it does not timed out and stay on top of the Desktop.

Other notifies are displayed and disappears from the notifications area, the "Battery discharging" if I disconnect the power supply for example.

My system:
HP Compaq nx8220
openSUSE10.3 RC1 with Updates until 25.09.2007

It stays until it's clicked, after which it goes away. Given the amount of data displayed (not just status, but model number and serial number), I can see why they'd think spontaneously disappearing would be a bad idea. It's not the bug it appears to be at first glance, but it's certainly a confusing UI, and the upstream maintainers are aware of this issue.

The upstream bug complaining about this UI is at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423186

I think we can let upstream handle this. Resolving LATER.
