After a short while, kdetv crash saying something about v4l2 (I couldn't reproduce the crash in this moment) The slow motion and freeze just happen in 'TV mode' option, 'Normal' and 'Full Screen' works fine, although I'm not sure if the crash also happens on this mode only. I will attach the crash backtrace after I find out the way to crash it. Meanwhile I'm attaching the backtrace of the slow motion issue and a lot of related messages from dmesg. This behavior doesn't happen on 10.2.

does it work better with "xawtv" (the application) or do you run into the same slow motion issue there?
Sorry, I can't get xawtv to work. fyi tvtime works fine.
tvtime is currently one of the best tv viewers. almost all are unmaintained, but tvtime has no EOL-like UI and needs no EOL-like components, like xawtv does (DGA or Motif for example).
Kdetv hasn't seen upstream development for ages. I suggest you use another application if it doesn't work for you.
