Description Christian Herr 2007-12-03 12:47:56 UTC
I updated to kernel 2.6.22.13-0.3-default on an opensuse 10.3 laptop (Dell Inspiron 1501, AMD Turion). When shutting down, the system will hang after unmounting the file systems. On the previous opensuse kernel version 2.6.22.12.*** the system stopped before unmounting the file sytems, i.e. after the second "sending all processes the term signal". The last message found on the konsole where all the messages appear (strg-alt-F10 ?) is "Disabling non-boot CPUs..." then the system hangs. Should I disable acpi ?
With KOT 2.6.24....rc3 all is fine, except that the system boots much slower than with the official kernels. The last official opensuse kernel working in my hands is 2.6.22.9xxx.
Are there any suggestions ?

with kind regards, Christian

I'm sorry for the duplicate(Bug #345511), as far as I know, bug 331747 describes this behaviour with an earlier kernel. I'm reporting this with the latest official kernel (2.6.22.13xxx).
