Hi, lastest kde4 packages from builserver, start kde4 session and default icons appear on desktop. Logout, login and now all icons are duplicated!
Re-login again and now, three Firefox, three trash, three Office and so on...
funny :)

I can confirm this, with three differnt machines. This bug still exits with the KDE4 release packages. Only the default icons are created anew in each session. If the icons are left in their default position the duplicate icons cannot be seen at first, because the are positioned directly on top of the counter parts.
