Fail on Adding Main Update Repository...
Last modified: 2008-02-01 13:47:50 UTC
Created attachment 190374 [details] Error in Yast when add Main Update Repository Im using the option Community repositories in Yast for add the main repositories for openSUSE 10.3 but when add the Update repository, Yast show the following message: ----------------------------------------------- Adding repository Main Update Repository failed http://download.opensuse.org/update/10.3/: Valid metadata not found at specified URL(s) history: - Wrong checksum for patch-fetchmsttfonts.sh-4347.xml ----------------------------------------------- I try from a clean setup of openSUSE from a DVD, but neither solves this issue.
The repo is fine, but some mirrors are in intermediate state. Rudi, we should not have editied the patch in place, but put in a new one with another name. Perhapos we can still do that.
I got the same. But it was not so after installing opensuse 10.3. Since after some initial updates the system did not announce new updates after some weeks, I suspect some problem was occuring. I deleted the update source installed and run a new online update configuration in Yast. Yast says that a new repository was succesfully added, but it really did not do that. So I tried to add the Main Update Repository in "Community Repositories", and I got the message cited above. Thus, I'm currently unable to get new updates.
patch-fetchmsttfonts.sh-4347.xml moved to patch-fetchmsttfonts.sh-4825.xml, checksums regenerated, should be fixed as the mirrors catch up.
