German translation for kdebluetooth doesn't work
Last modified: 2009-02-20 23:15:49 UTC
Hi, I'm using the latest and greatest kdebluetooth 1.0beta8, but the localisation doesn't work. It's all English, even though the translation file /opt/kde3/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/kdebluetooth.mo is present. I've installed the kdebluetooth-lang package, what else must be done? I've tested the shipped KDE 3.5.7 and upgraded to KDE 3.5.9 from the build service, but it never works. regards Gerhard
kdebluetooth.mo installed on my system is fine. It's either a packaging or usage issue. Please, check the manual (Admin Guide: Lanugage and Country Specific Settings) and provide the locale output.
Hmm, looks OK to me... gerhard@pfeil:~> locale LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_TIME="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_COLLATE="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_MESSAGES="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_PAPER="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_NAME="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_ADDRESS="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_TELEPHONE="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_MEASUREMENT="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_IDENTIFICATION="de_DE.UTF-8" LC_ALL=
And what is the value of the LANGUAGE environment variable?
Sorry, I updated to KDE4 on openSUSE 11.1 meanwhile, so this info is no longer available.
Closing then, noncritical KDE3 bug anyways. (marking as invalid, seems most appropriate)
