Description Magnus Boman 2008-03-18 04:09:05 UTC
While installing, I change the encryption method to MD5 and set my user password to something longer than 8 characters. I don't check "Use this password for system administrator". Then I click next, and enter the root password. Again, I use a password longer than 8 characters. When clicking next, I get the following message;

"The password is too long for the current encryption method. Truncate it to 8 characters?" Yes/No

If I select No, I will have to enter a new password which is <= 8 characters.
