It always bothered me that to implement an interface, you have to click on the *class* name, then navigate through *two* menus and finally select the interface name in order to implement it.

Would it not make more sense to right click on the Interface name itself and choose to implement it either explicitly or implicitly?

That way you don't have to navigate two menus and choose a name, you just choose implicit/explicit.
