sax2: Keyboard and mouse issues
Last modified: 2008-04-23 08:02:22 UTC
I installed suse 11.0b1 using the net-install on my macbook. During the install, the macbooks built in touchpad didn't work. I had to use a USB mouse. After the install when i had booted into the new system, the internal touchpad worked but the keyboard didn't work rendering the system unusable.
Could you please attach the following files /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.install /var/log/Xorg.0.log seperately as plain/text mimetype? Thanks.
Created attachment 209707 [details] xorg.conf
Created attachment 209709 [details] install
Created attachment 209710 [details] log Attached the three requested files.
removing the 'need info' status.
(In reply to comment #2 from Alan McGovern) > Created an attachment (id=209707) [details] > xorg.conf This is broken: Section "InputDevice" Driver "synaptics" Identifier "Mouse[0]" Option "Protocol" "auto-dev" EndSection InputDevice "Mouse[0]" "CoreKeyboard" Not sure why the touchpad didn't work during installation. Anyway these are configuration issues.
