Description Forgotten User y7f055FA1m 2008-04-22 19:42:43 UTC
On the Beta 1 Live CD (GNOME), I can connect to the WLAN using nm-applet. It does show the connection (4 bars) in the task bar. However, inside the Gnome start menu in the upper-left corner (labelled "Computer"), the network icon is crossed out and it says "Network: None". Clicking on that icon opens (for whatever reason) the Package Management... I would have expected it to open Network Manager

This is only a cosmetic problem since nm-applet works but it should be addressed anyway.
