Description Christian Boltz 2008-05-04 14:17:54 UTC
It seems like the fixes from bug 237220 (see patch there, attachment 139574 [details]) were not commited to trunk - at least I see the same errors again in 11.0 beta1 :-(

This means that the german translation contains several strings with _wrong meaning_ (not only typos).

I had no time to proofread the whole file
https://forgesvn1.novell.com/svn/suse-i18n/trunk/lcn/de/po/apparmor-utils.de.po
yet, which means it could contain additional bugs.

Karl, please notice that bug 237220 is novellonly, external translators probably can't access the attachment there.

SVN is fine:

------------------------------------------------------------------------

from openSUSE-10_2-Branch
------------------------------------------------------------------------

And later:

- first proofread round

John, please update the PO translation files for openSUSE 11.0 from the suse-i18n translation SVN, if it is still in use...

OTOH, didn't you figure out, Bubli, that we should drop apparmor-utils because it is now merged with yast2-apparmor? I'm confused right now.

Actually, it's more complicated. Before 11.0, apparmor-utils textdomain consisted of strings that came from 2 different packages - yast2-apparmor and apparmor-utils. This is no longer true, all strings in yast2-apparmor package are in yast2-apparmor textdomain, while there are still strings from apparmor-utils CLI (such as enforce, logprof, genprof) that remained in apparmor-utils textdomain. So no, please do not drop apparmor-utils translations, please :)

Speaking about patch in attachment 139574 [details], all these strings come from apparmor-utils -> apparmor-utils po files need to be updated.

Ok, I see. John, please submit a fresh apparmor-utils.pot to https://forgesvn1.novell.com/svn/suse-i18n/trunk/lcn/50-pot

sorry for the delay on updating the bug. The new apparmor-utils translations should be in RC1 so I am going to mark this as closed.
