Bugzilla – Bug 392378
Overlapping icons in systray
Last modified: 2008-09-20 13:53:51 UTC
Hi, icons in systray are mixed togheter. Attached shoot shows updater icon over mixer and mixer over knetworkmanager...
Created attachment 216643 [details] shoot showing mixed icons
Does this happen reproducible at every login?
Some try: 1) first login, only kmix icon is mixed with knetworkmanager 2) logout/login, icons are not mixed but a grey square background under updater and kmix. 3) logout/login again, like 1 It seems a sort of redraw issue.. Beta3 installed from kde-livecd
more info: it seems ok without desktop effect..
Systray icons PLUS desktop effects are a call for Lubos :-)...
With default theme systray looks good! Maybe an issue with aya theme ?!?
I can confirm this on 11.0 GM, KDE4. Happens every time when desktop effects are enabled (via compiz or kwin4) and user starts/closes application with system tray icon.
(In reply to comment #6 from Daniele Tombolini) > With default theme systray looks good! Maybe an issue with aya theme ?!? It happens with default theme here as well.
On OpenSuse 11 Final, I see this in all themes (default, aya, and one I downloaded). If I turn off desktop effects, things seem to display properly. The bug occurs when an icon is removed from the system tray.
This is not a opensuse specific bug and already reported where it belongs, i.e. KDE. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=158094
