Bugzilla – Bug 392938
Existing swap partition is not mounted, not written in /etc/fstab
Last modified: 2008-05-22 14:44:38 UTC
I have a simple disk structure: 1 SATA disk: 1 utilitity partition, 1 windows partition, 1 Linux swap, 1 Linux. All these are primary. I always reinstall fresh all alpha/betas this way: erase everything on the Linux partition except /home which I rename. Then I set its mount point as /. Up until the LiveCD method of installation, the system that results would have the existing swap in /etc/fstab. With the LiveCD installer, this does not happen.
Not only that, but the root partition itself is not written to /etc/fstab. This result in it not being properly unmounted at shutdown. The filesystem always replays a lot of transactions at boot. I'm increasing severity.

Jiri, this sounds really, really ugly.
It's a duplicate of #389099. But maybe someone should test with beta 3+.
