Using latest Factory packages and KDE4. openSUSE updater works only when login as root. If i login as normal user, it wont try to find updates and that "Chock now" is grayed. out.

I am using openSuSE 11.0 Beta 3 KDE. The openSuSE Updater does not work for me either. I click on the question mark in the notification area. Then I click the Install Latest Updates button. Then I authenticate as root. Then nothing happens. A balloon appears near the notification area asking me if I want to update. Then I click on the question mark etc etc. I can keep going in circles without getting anything done.

The command listed in the authentication window is "/sbin/yast2 piwo". The command works when issued in a root terminal.

I have not tried openSuSE Updater while logged into KDE as root.
