Description Thomas Renninger 2008-06-19 08:33:22 UTC
Be aware that this is a somewhat bigger server with quite some NICs.
It looks like the network connection is not available at this time (first snapshot, attachments from comment #1 and #2).
When skipping the window, the first done in the next Window is "Configuring Lan" (see the attachment in comment #3 and #4). This is a guess, but it looks yast does set up network successfully there, the rest of the installation wents through smoothly.

The installation was done with autoyast, but I doubt this is related.
About a dozen different machines went through, it's just this specific machines with a lot network cards (could be that more than one network card has a link causing this...).

I'll attach screenshots and yast logs.

-> major because this is on the latest and an important Intel reference server platform.

This is already very late of the installation process.
The next window is about configuring lan, X, cups, etc. (see one of the next attachments), then the runlevel services are started and the installation is finish.

Here yast hangs for about 10-20 seconds. I guess the network is tested here and I guess it is successfully brough up (not sure though).

Probably not that interesting, this is the same window as in the previous comment after running for a bit longer

This is added to make it easier to identify which windows/stages are affected.

Probably a duplicate :)
