Description Andrew Joakimsen 2008-06-28 16:27:19 UTC
During installation the user is not prompted for the machine's hostname as it was in prior openSUSE releases. The installer must prompt the user for the system's desired hostname. Actually I noticed *NO* network configuration options are offered during installation.

Why is Y2logs needed for this bug and not for bug # 404692? The option simply is not there. It has nothing to do with an error during the install but instead the fact that an element in the interface is not present. This can be verified without logfiles.

You can change the hostname if:
* you disable the fully automatic setup
* do it afterwards

For the majority of folks this is the better option.
