Description Siegfried Olschner 2008-07-03 09:40:24 UTC
New installation of openSUSE 11 with Gnome.
The machine is up since 23 hours.
It seems that the start menu will need more and more time to open.
Yesterday evening it needed about 3-4 seconds, now I can count to 12.
It's also a delay visible during in the interaction with the start menu items.

After a re-boot the reaction time was "normal" (below 1 sec.).
It is not perfect because there is a small delay but acceptable.

Perhaps this behavior is based on the hardware. It's a 4 years old Intel prototype machine, but with standard graphics card.

I did not found a bug describing a similar experience.
Which information of my machine can help to find this bug?

After 2 days uptime the start menu is not longer usable. It will need over 12 seconds to open. Clicks to select an item are not possible.

This is probably a dupe of https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=402256 .
