Bugzilla – Bug 407270
openSUSE NVIDIA packages are broken
Last modified: 2008-07-09 02:25:42 UTC
I have GF 6200 and succesfully used Nvidia drivers from suse repos in openSUSE 10.x. Now, with 11.0, if i use drivers from suse repos, X wont start. Even sax2 fails. If i use drivers from Nvidia site, they works fine. Other GF 6200 users have same issues: http://forums.opensuse.org/hardware/387884-nvidia-rpm-drivers-wont-work-gf-6200-a.html

I bet the Device ID is 0x0221. ==> Duplicate of Bug #390272. Please add the output of "hwinfo --gfxcard".

I use drivers from Nvidia site at the moment, because they works.
As expected. The same device ID. You need to install the driver manually for the time being due to Bug #390272. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 390272 ***
