The above log entries are generated every few minutes.  

Just UPDATED to SuSE 11.0 from a running 10.3 system.  I have applied all current on-line patches.

Here it crashes regularly too, but in libpthread; I do not see anything else crashing this way and cron should not be doing anything special. It seems that it is more reasonable to assume a memory corruption within cron unless the maintainer shows otherwise.

This seems to have been resolved by 409104.  See also 406638.
