When I ran the live-installer, it asked me for user account information; all went well, the install completed - I re-booted, and hit the first-time configuration GUI.

That asked me for the same information again :-)

Better - when I entered the same stuff; it said:

"Error
There is a conflict between the entered username and an existing username.
Try another one. [Ok]"
