The upcoming OpenSuSE is still lacking support for Realtek rt2860sta module in the kernel. This driver is opensource and while not in the mainline kernel and far from perfect it works and it's widely tested. Other distributions already adopted it (ubuntu, mandriva and xandros for example), since it's necessary to have wireless in most of the new netbooks.
Please consider to add this module to the opensuse kernel...
