Description Robby Verberne 2008-11-05 18:09:39 UTC
Packagekit does not close down, but it is also not clear if something is updated.
No progress bar visible, and right mouse over updater icon in systray shows ...updating..., which stays that way for 'hours', so to speak.
Had to kill the pid, to get access to the PKGDB.

are you talking about the KDE updater applet or the GNOME one or about something different? kpackagekit, qpackagekit, packagekit-gnome?

Comment 2 Robby Verberne 2008-11-06 21:39:00 UTC
KDE-updater, and /usr/sbin/packagekitd, which pid has to be killed, to get access to the pdb.
btw, the update: OO, was not downloaded and installed, i've done that manualy..
