Description Andrew Horoszczak 2008-11-06 21:17:29 UTC
the same problem is persistant since beta1

neither installation nor even media check works:

Loading KIWI CD Boot-System...
(..)
Waiting for CD/DVD device to open
Mounting CD/DVD ...................
Couldn't find CD image configuration file.

DVD ROM is SATA type
and maybe mounting is terminated too quickly?

no such problem with Fedora9 or kubuntu 8.40

Does the DVD work?

Do you have some hardware information about the system, e.g. the data from smolt?
Or could you attach dmesg output directly after bootup from kubuntu or Fedora9?
