Bugzilla – Bug 442639
Add Ubuntu 8.10 as build service repository
Last modified: 2009-08-12 09:17:30 UTC
On October, 27th 2008, Canonical released it's latest Ubuntu version 8.10 'Intrepid'. We should add it as build repository as soon as possible. I suggest the policy that the build service always offers the current LTS version (8.04) and the latest release (8.10). This would offer a huge benefit for packages which would like to offer their software not only for the latest release.
The repository is there, but build fails with: dpkg-source: error: unrecognized file for a v1.0 source package: kdevelop_3.5.4.orig.tar.bz2 My xUbuntu_6.06, xUbuntu_7.04, xUbuntu_7.10, xUbuntu_8.04 and Debian_Etch builds work fine. So this is a regression. I urge all xUbuntu_8.10 users to vote for this bug using the "Vote for this bug" link, otherwise this will not get fixed.
Do you have an example project where this happens ? home:amilcarlucas seems to have other problems atm ..
How do you mean other problems ? All packages compile fine, both deb and rpm based. Only xUbuntu_8.10 fails.
works in general, home:amilcar has currently broken sources.
Sources have been fixed, please retest to see if it works. If it doesn't than this bug is still valid.
we speak about home:amilcarlucas project, right ? There are only disabled, broken or expansion error states. But it buildonce successfully for Ubuntu 8.10, since there are packages.
