Description Frans Leerink 2008-11-09 01:16:36 UTC
Hello,

I have installed openSUSE11.1, beta 4 from the DVD. From the installation settings summary screen I tried to change the proposed partitioning via Create partition setup/partition based/create partition for experts. The system correctly displayed the existing partitions. If I selected an existing partition and wanted to edit that the following problems showed up:
1 For the partition that I wanted to be mounted under "/" I could select format and mount but by the mountpoint I selected the "/" but nothing showed up in the related field. After several trials and pressing the tab key a number of times finally, but very unreliable, the "/" character showed up in the mountpoint field

2 The same happened with the partition that I wanted to be mounted under "/home"

3 For a partition containing all my data (documents, mail, music and pictures) I was not able to enter the mount point "/data" after several trials, so I finally decided to not mounting this partition.

And finally 1 other not related question. How should I enter under the openSUSE 11.1 install my manual (non dhcp) network settings. In earlier versions the install system asked for the manual network settings if it noticed that the dhcp method failed.

Regards, Frans
