Bugzilla – Bug 450216
Setting WinXP as default boot option in LiveCD install makes the post-install boot WinXP immediately
Last modified: 2008-12-01 18:21:21 UTC
1) Dual-boot installation with WindowsXP using 11.1RC Gnome LiveCD 2) During install make a selection to set WindowsXP as the default boot option in bootloader 3) Complete install, reboot The PC booted to WindowsXP without even showing the GRUB options, which lead me to beleive the GRUB was failed. However, rebooting the PC invoke the GRUB menu, with options to boot opensuse or WinXP. Once openSUSE was seleted the 1st boot installation procedure continued. Not a fatal issue as no damage was done but causes a confusing situation for WinXP emigrants - especially inexperienced ones.
