Bugzilla – Bug 457088
KDE4 LiveCD doesn't set the correct driver and resolution for X
Last modified: 2008-12-16 14:36:42 UTC
My video card is 'nVidia 8400m gs' and the screen resolution should be 1280x800, but when I boot up to GMC KDE4 LiveCD, X starts with the 'vesa' driver instead of 'nv' driver and I can only get 800x600. Manually adjusting in Sax shows no problem. I think maybe something about automatic detecting is broken. 11.0 LiveCD works fine.
I try it again and it now uses 'nv' driver but the resolution is still wrong.

(--) NV: Found NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS at 01@00:00:0 Maybe we don't know that card yet. Please post the output of 'lspci -n'. Also, please check what driver you get when you invoke 'sax2 -a -r'.
