I have included a remote calendar as 'webcal' in my Evolution Calendars and no alarms (pop up message) is raised on meetings related to the webcal. The reminder icon are shown on the meetings and the setup into Edit -> Preferences -> Alarms -> "Select calendars for alarm notification" is set to notify on my "On The Web" calendars.

Which distro are you using KUbuntu or OpenSUSE ? 

Could you please try out upcoming OpenSUSE 11.3 or with GNOME 2.30 on OpenSUSE 11.2 and report back whether bug is still appearing or not, tia.

I now use Evolution 2.28.3 (using Kubuntu 10.04) and it seems to work again...
