Description Jan Matejek 2009-03-03 15:54:06 UTC
on a cleanly started GNOME desktop, with only terminal running, top shows X's cpu usage is 100% (that is one whole core of my dualcore desktop)

this happens with and without desktop effects

i have no particular "noisy" things in the panel, and this certainly didn't happen in 11.1 (and i'm pretty sure that it didn't happen before last update)

my system is intel core2, geforce 7300 or something, with nvidia's drivers ... i'll be attaching X logs for details

I see it as well. It taking a whole core... what a luck I have two of them so I can still work with the 2nd one.
