Mouse stops clicking at random. Restarting X.org helps.

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; cs-CZ; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009012700 SUSE/3.0.6-0.1.2 Firefox/3.0.6 Same bug as here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.20/+bug/41301 They made a patch for X.org, I would appreciate it also for opensuse. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Please attach the information requested on the webpage: http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:X
The patch is included xorg-server 1.6, thus fixed for Factory.
Hi, I am experiencing this bug on 11.1 with all the latest updates, when using Xinerama, as the above bug suggests. When I only use one monitor, instead of 4, I do not see this happening. Do you know when will this fix be available for 11.1, if at all?
For me was the solution installation of the new NVidia driver (180.29).
Petr, I already have latest NVidia drivers, and that is not resolving things for me: nvidia-gfxG02-kmp-default-180.29_2.6.27.18_0.3-0.1 x11-video-nvidiaG02-180.29-0.1 I have checked the code, and fix is still not implemented in the 11.1 source tree. Should I re-open this bug then. since it is not fixed for the release it states?
I have nothing against your reopening of the bug. If you can't find a solution... Frankly speaking I was quite surprised by marking the bug as resolved when their solution (Xorg 1.6) comes not until OS 11.2 :-(
That's the fix http://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=22373 I closed this bug as fixed for Factory, not 11.1/SLE11. If you would like to request to get it fixed also for 11.1, feel free to reopen.
Thanks for the communication guys. I think it should be included in 11.1 as well, partially because it is a small fix to do, in my view, but I could be wrong. I would not mind helping out, just let me know how. Re-opening this for openSuSE 11.1 then.
Patch is now submitted to X11:XOrg:sle11/xorg-x11-server in OBS. Packages are currently rebuilding. An official update will be requested soon. RPM changelog: ------------------------------------------------------------------- Wed Apr 15 17:57:55 CEST 2009 - sndirsch@suse.de - bfo-bug18668.diff * In Xinerama all windows hang off the first root window. Crossing the screens must not reset the spriteTrace, otherwise picking fails and events are sent to the root window. (bnc #483839, bfo #18668)
Wow, very quick turnaround. Thanx a lot Stefan!
Hmm. Why did you reopen it?
I screwed up, I think my browser cache still had reopened for the field when I submitted the last comment. My mistake. You were quicker than me to change it back :) My apologies.
Stefan, I took the liberty to get your newly built package from OBS (binary only) and I installed it on my box. It looks like problem is solved, as expected, at least so far. I have been running 4 screens for an hour and I was not able to reproduce the issue. I am not sure what is the procedure for bug verification, but I hope this helps.
Thanks for verifying.

reopen to request SWAMPID.
Anja, I'm planning a maint. release for this one. Could you provide a SWAMPID? Thanks.
Package is xorg-x11-server. I'm afraid I need seperate SWAMPIDs for SLE11 and openSUSE 11.1.
The SWAMPID for this issue is 24437. Please submit the patch and patchinfo file using this ID. (https://swamp.suse.de/webswamp/wf/24437)
.
Thanks. I'm going to submit packages and patchinfo files ASAP.
