Last modified: 2009-08-10 11:03:29 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; pl; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090715 Firefox/3.5.1 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) I use openSUSE 11.2 M4. When I lunched Live in text mode, VESA, 1024x768 openSUSE stopped loading. I saw like this on my screen: Loading drivers, configuring devices: [code] [35.158734] ACPI: AC Adaptor [ADP1] (on-line) [36.019066] input: Power Button as /devices/LNXSYSTM:00/LNXPWRBN:00/input/input3 [36.019699] ACPI: Power Button [PWRF] [36.020105] input: Lifd Switch as /devices/LNXSYSTM:00/device:00/PNP0C0D:00/input/input3 [36.028436] ACPI: Lid Switch [LID0] [36.040414] input: Sleep Button as /devices/LNXSYSTM:00/PNP0C0E:00/input/input4 [36.052663] ACPI: Sleep Button [SLPB] [36.194432] ACPI: Battery Slot [BAT0] (battery preset) [36.872936] ACPI: WMI: Mapper loaded [37.499565] input: PC Speakers as /devices/platform/pcspeakr/input/input5 [38.363567] r8169 Gigabit Ethernet driver 2.3LK-NAPI loaded [38.375852] r8169 000:02:00.0:PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) - IRQ 284 [38.389207] eth0: RTL8168b/8111b at 0xf86d2000, 00:16:d3:66:2f:3c, XID 38000000 IRQ 284 [38.631312] intel_rng: FWH not detected [38.940264] Linux video capture interface: v2.00 [39.251577] acer-wmi: Acer Laptop ACPI-WMI Extras [39.268255] Kernel Panic - not syncing: stack protector: Kernel stack is corrupted in: f864ea0e [39.276198] yenta_cardbus 0000:0a:06:0: CardBus bridge found [1025:0107] [39.276237] yenta_cardbus 0000:0a:06:0: Using CSCINT to route CSC interupts to PCI [39.276244] yenta_cardbus 0000:0a:06:0: Routing CardBus interupts to PCI [39.276256] yenta_cardbus 0000:0a:06:0: mfunc 0x01aa1b22, devctl 0x64 [39.346376] Pid: 952, comm: modprobe Tainted: G N 2.6.4.30.2-1-default #1 [39.359522] Call Trace: [/code] This is in default start setting. In VESA and Text mode after Call Trace there were a few commends, but end was the same. Laptop stop response and CAPS Lock was blinking. Reboot only when I put out battery. I try Failsafe mode. Then after loading drivers (I didn't see kernel panic) laptop stop response. My configuration: Intel Core Duo 1.7GHz NVidia Go 9300 2 GB RAM Acer Aspire 9413Z - 9410 Series Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Live CD openSUSE 11.2 M4 2. In loading system had kernel panic 3. Actual Results: System didn't response. CAPS Lock was blinking. Expected Results: Start openSUSE 11.2 M4 KDE4 Live CD. How can I get log for starting system? Now I use my pen and paper but this is little irrytating.
I think you can read http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs/Kernel#Using_the_serial_console for reference about how to get log.
Already fixed in bug 529177. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 529177 ***
