KDE doesn't seem to have a shortcut function to in/decrease brightness
Last modified: 2012-01-28 14:31:49 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6 My brightness hotkeys are supported through QT/KDE but there is no function support the change of brightness. The same problem appears with Opensuse 11.2 It is working in Kubuntu since 9.10 and I have attached the patch which should be the right one. I haven't tested it yet against the Opensuse package though. Patch: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~debfx/kdebase-workspace/powerdevil-patches/annotate/head:/debian/patches/kubuntu_101_brightness_fn_keys_and_osd.diff Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to change brightness on your laptop with supported brightness keys. 2. Try to find a hotkey function which support changing brightness. Actual Results: No brightness change. Expected Results: There should be a brightness change.

Sorry that we missed the patch. It is fixed with more recent versions of openSUSE.
