I installed 11.3M7 (KDE live image) on a ThinkPad W500. During the installation this system is not detected as a Laptop (see attached logs):

2010-05-25 10:28:30 <1> linux(2195) [YCP] Lan.ycp:790 Is a laptop: false
2010-05-25 10:28:30 <1> linux(2195) [YCP] Lan.ycp:798 NetworkManager wanted: false, installed: true

Therefor Netcontrol instead of NetworkManager is selected as the network configuration backend.
