HP Deskjet D1660 prints garbage after second page
Last modified: 2010-09-15 07:12:03 UTC
Created attachment 389609 [details] Second Page, full of garbage User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100723 SUSE/3.6.8-0.1.1 Firefox/3.6.8 I just purchased an HP Deskjet D1660 assuming that because it is an HP printer that it would work with Linux. In testing it I found two problems. First on the test pages the bottom gets cutoff. Second if a print job consists of more than one page, every page after the first is garbage. I'll attach photos to show what I'm talking about. I tried with different documents, a word file in OpenOffice and a PDF in Okular and got the same result both times. This also happens if I try to print multiple copies of one page, every copy but the first is garbage. I tried both drivers, the hpcups driver that CUPS chooses by default and the hpijs driver. With the hpijs driver CUPS will show the job as being complete but nothing will come out of the printer. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install an HP Deskjet D1660 2. Try to print a multi-page print job 3. See garbage after first page Actual Results: Garbage on all pages after the first Expected Results: Good print output on all the pages Keyword: D1600
