Tumbleweed: The display does not resume from blank
Last modified: 2011-02-09 17:41:10 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 SUSE/3.6.13-0.2.1 Firefox/3.6.13 The problem started after upgrading to Tumbleweed. When power management blanks the screen it will not resume. The only ways to get response then are either power button or Sysrq. As a workaround I command xset s noblank The problem occurs in KDE and LXDE and the workaround helps in both. I use LXDE most of the time so I have added this to /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart. Works fine, screen never blanks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. The kernel has got updated a couple of times during Tumbleweed and I seem to remember that there vere stages where this problem did not exist.
There is no X.Org update in Tumbleweed project (yet). This is likely a kernel regression.
Possibly a dup of bnc #666162.
Looks like it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 666162 ***
