I confirm this. I didnt have any issues with os 11.3. Seems 11.4 ships 10.1.102.64 driver to 64 bit systems, thats beta driver, right? 11.3 used 32bit driver, what are version 10.2.x. Please dont use this beta driver because its buggy.

The only flash-player I can find in Factory is
flash-player-10.2.152.26-1.1.i586.rpm

And that Flash via nspluginwrapper in Firefox is more than buggy is well known.
I use the following since quite some time and it seems to be quite usable:

http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10_square.html

Besides of that note there is nothing I can do in Firefox to fix that.

Aah, seems snapshot repo has old version. I try this: http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/non-oss/suse/i586/flash-player-10.2.152.26-1.1.i586.rpm

Hello, flash in Firefox (11.4 RC2 & 11.4 Final, KDE, x86_64) begins to play OK for few seconds (1-2s). Then, the video fades into red and black shadows. Then, computer invariably hangs.
Comment 7 Rainer Hurtado Navarro 2011-03-16 16:14:40 UTC
The same as above (comment 6) in other browsers, such as Chrome...

A temporary workaround (until bug is fixed) is presented by brucecadieux here:

I find it works great, use it at your own discretion/risk

Awaiting fix

After the updated to 4.0, in my computer (openSUSE 11.4_64, ff 4.0 (final version), flash 10.2.153 32 bits) the bug persists. This is a very boring bug.

Awaiting fix.

Ever since I installed OS 11.4_64, I've been having the "clipping" problem with Firefox, but not with Seamonkey. I tried to get Firefox and Flash installed in my user space, but finding the Linux bits for a recent version of Flash resulted in a run-around.

Hope this gets fixed. Firefox is my favorite web browser. Firefox works fine on the same hardware when booted into Windoze 7.

Any new observations? We've had about 4 updates since the last comment.

Works for me ever since in 12.1, and also before in late 11.4.

I think this can be closed!

closing then
