Midnight Commander: missing help file
Last modified: 2011-12-17 21:27:59 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.2.15) Gecko/20110303 SUSE/3.6.15-1.1 Firefox/3.6.15 FireTorrent/2.0.1 The mc 4.7.5.1 from download version is missing the file mc.hlp Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Press F1 key inside mc 2. 3. Actual Results: Cannot open file /usr/share/mc/help/mc.hlp No such file or directory (2)
I can confirm this. mc.hint is also missing. look like in mc, the help and hint files where moved from /usr/share/mc to /usr/share/mc/help and /usr/share/mc/hint. These two ne folders are empty
I can confirm this as well. Also, local hostname and current working directory are not displayed under the left panel for non-root users.
I can confirm the hostname/path problem, but in my opinion it is not missing, but invisible. Sometimes afer a "ls" command one can see the contents of this line for a short time.
The hostname/path problem seems to depend on something in the user's environment. When I su to another user account on my machine, and start mc, then hostname/path are displayed correctly.
Should be fixed by submit rq #64881 (waiting in OBS queue).
