Description Forgotten User xs3PtXj4XH 2011-10-08 09:39:32 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:7.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0

When the KDE desktop is loaded, the user can see an additional Firefox launcher and an additional Dolphin launcher to the right of the "Activities" icon in the taskbar. I am not sure why these are necessary, so I right-clicked on both in succession and removed them. However, following this, I went into the task manager settings, and on exiting these settings, the two launchers automatically re-appeared! This should clearly not be happening.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log in to KDE desktop
2. Right click and remove the extra KDE and Dolphin launcher
3. Right click on the task manager and view its settings pane.
4. Exit task manager settings
Actual Results:
Two unwanted launchers automatically re-appear.

Expected Results:
The launchers stay removed (though of course they probably should not be present in the first place).

AFAIK these are the launchers for the default components (see systemsettings). The other two are because of openSUSE's default config. So IMHO the hardcoded ones should go and the "standard components one" should stay, simply because they are not static but obey to systemsettings, i.e. the user's settings.

There may be a bug though that they are removed and do not come back when one removes/re-enables the task-bar.

Problem appears to be fixed in RC1. Closing.
