Hmm. The famous "[mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop." sympton with a lot of possible culprits, most likely related to a graphics driver problem. :-( [ 3.268389] mtrr: no more MTRRs available [ 3.268391] [drm] MTRR allocation failed. Graphics performance may suffer. Same thing happening to me. While I can't definitely exclude that it sometimes happens in other situations, the crash is much more likely if BOTH conditions are fulfilled: - An external display was connected to the computer at some point since booting. - The computer has been suspended to RAM I can pretty much avoid problems by either not using an external monitor or, whenever I do, not using the sleep mode.
openSUSE 11.4 is no longer supported. Feel free to reopen, if the issue still exists with openSUSE 12.3. Thanks.
